This project was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and consisted of converting former offices into Britain’s first museum dedicated to telling the story of the Huguenot refugees. It included refurbishment of the upper floors of a 1930’s former Gas Board office building, with the ground floor being the historic Rochester Visitor Centre. The basement store was converted into an environmentally controlled archive to PD5454, the guide for storage and exhibition of archival materials.
